FAF have named 18 players for the AMF Women’s Futsal World Cup that will be hosted in Barcelona in November this year.
The 18 players were selected from performances at the FAF National Club Championships that were held in Cairns in October last year and the more resent FAF National Championships that were held in Adelaide last month, the squad will now travel to Adelaide for a final trial were the Coaching staff together with FAF Technical Director Marty Calvert will make a final decision on the top 12 players selected to go to the World Cup.
This will be the 3rd AMF Women’s Futsal World Cup and the first time FAF will send an Australian team, Head Coach Carlos Cravo is very excited about the squad and feels that the Aussie Girls will stand a very good chance from what he has seen so far, “Although we dont know what group we are in just yet we are still very optimistic with the very strong contingent of players we have to pick from” said Mr Cravo.
The final 12 players selected for Australian Women’s team will be announced after next months trail in Adelaide and FAF would like to congratulate these players so far for their outstanding efforts and wish every single player the very best of luck!
